The Liberation of the Heart

This retreat will explore the Four Foundations of Mindfulness as a path to liberating insight and compassion. There will be sustained formal meditative practice in an atmosphere of silence. Daily dhamma talks, instructions, metta practice and group interview will be offered.

Christina Feldman has been leading insight meditation retreats internationally since 1975. She has trained extensively in the major Buddhist traditions. She is a guiding teacher of Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA, and is co-founder and guiding teacher of Gaia House in Devon, England. As well as leading retreats for both beginners and experienced students, she was initiator of retreats for women and families. She is the author of a number of books including Woman Awake, Way of Meditation, and co-author of Soul Food. Recent books include Silence and The Buddhist Path to Simplicity. Christina lives in Devon with her family.
