Facilities

Situated on fifteen wooded acres, Cloud Mountain is a complex of several buildings surrounded by trees and connected by rock-lined paths. There are two meditation halls, a teacher’s cottage, staff housing and a lodge that holds the kitchen, dining area, sitting room, office and library. There is a small lake, an organic garden and greenhouse, 3 fish ponds with various fish, other aquatic wildlife, and one resident cat. Black-tail deer, raccoons, possum and other forest creatures are frequent visitors.

Diamond hall houses the main meditation hall and rooms for retreatants. Just down a winding path from Diamond Hall is the Teacher's Cottage, built Japanese style with a deck on all sides. It is complete with a full bath. The main meditation hall has hardwood bamboo floors. The central heating and air conditioning system is electronically filtered for pollen and dust. There are beautiful walks in the 15 acres of Cloud Mountain forests, in the state forest land bordering Cloud Mountain and on the quiet country roads near by. We can sleep up to fifty people for meditation and meals.
