REGISTRATION INFORMATION
REGISTRATION PROCESS:
- Print and fill out the simple registration form by clicking on one of
these links:
- PDF Form Word Form
- For the PDF Form you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free
download.
- Send in your registration form along with payment in full of the retreat fee to the address on the form.
Upon receipt of your form and payment in full you will be sent a confirmation packet containing various information and material related to the center and to the retreat. Spaces on retreats are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Our preference is payment by check.
We only accept registration forms sent by US mail or by fax. Please DO NOT email registration forms, since our website is not encrypted. Please DO NOT email your registration form and try to phone in your credit card information. Due to privacy concerns about your personal financial data and our own need to remain in compliance with security requirements mandated by the our credit card processing company, we will only accept credit card payment when the information, including card info, amount to be authorized and signature are included in the designated area of the registration form.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
All registration materials must be RECEIVED in our office by 12:00pm of the day before the start of the retreat. Regretfully, any registrations received after this, including those coming via US mail, cannot be processed.
Our preference is payment by check from US registrants. If you pay be credit or debit card, a portion of your retreat fee goes to the credit card companies, not to the Dharma. Please make checks payable to FOCM (Friends of Cloud Mountain). Canadians and international registrants, it is actually most efficient for all concerned for you to pay by credit card. You may also send money orders, bank drafts or checks drawn on US funds. There is a $25 charge for returned checks.
PARTIAL ATTENDANCE, LATE ARRIVALS & EARLY DEPARTURE:
Unless specifically noted, partial attendance on retreat is not permitted, nor are late arrivals and early departures of a non-emergency nature. (This includes early departures on the last day of the retreat prior to the final clean-up.) It is most respectful to the continuity of the group energy as a whole, for the smooth running of the retreat and the center, and for your own experience of full introduction, completion and closure that all participants plan to attend the full retreat. Special requests for partial attendance need to be made well in advance, are not guaranteed, and must be approved by the Cloud Mountain Directors and the retreat leader. Receiving permission from the teacher prior to contacting Cloud Mountain is not a guarantee of acceptance for partial attendance.
PLEASE NOTE: This is of deep enough concern to us that your early departure or late arrival may result in the loss of future retreat privileges.
ARRIVAL TIMES:
Usually, the retreat begins in the evening of the first day with check-in between 4pm and 7pm. Please try not to arrive earlier than 4 pm. The first formal gathering begins with Group Orientation to the retreat beginning at 8pm unless otherwise noted on your confirmation letter. The retreat normally ends on the last day with lunch, and a final clean-up. Most participants leave the center by 2pm on the last day. Special arrangements can be made with advance arrangement for those catching a flight or driving to Canada that would necessitate early departure.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
We encourage individuals with financial challenges to apply for scholarship assistance. It is our sincere wish that financial constraints not be an impediment to individuals’ ability to hear and practice the Dharma on retreat.
Financial assistance is available on all retreats. Our Scholarship Fund is subsidized by the generosity of individuals donating directly to the Fund, and through our practice of designating 50% of all general donations and 100% of all cancellation fees to the Scholarship Fund.

CANCELLATION:
In the event of cancellation, if you are due for a refund we will make every effort to process it within two weeks of notification of your cancellation. Exceptions to our cancellation policies should be made in writing and directed to the Board of Directors.
TRAVEL:
Driving instructions to Cloud Mountain are included in the confirmation packet you will receive. We encourage ride-sharing among participants. For those flying in from out of the area, please call for more information about ways in which we can assist with your transportation to and from the center.
POLICIES FOR LONG RETREATS:
For retreats longer than 12 days, cancellation policies may differ from the one printed on your registration form. On long retreats a deposit policy may be in place, so it may not be necessary to send the full amount of the retreat fee at one time. Please call for information specific to the long retreat in which you are interested.
