Wynn Fricke - Assisting Teacher

Wynn Fricke has been practicing Insight Meditation since 1993 in her home sangha of Common Ground Meditation Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is co-founder of Common Ground with her spouse Mark Nunberg, and continues her work there as a dharma teacher. Wynn has been guided by her root teachers Kamala Masters, Steve Armstrong, and Marcia Rose, among others. She spent time at Chanmyay Yeiktha Meditation Centre in Burma under the direction of Sayadaw U Janaka and Sayadaw U Indika, and has also practiced with teachers from the Thai Forest Tradition, a lineage that is particularly resonant for her.

Wynn’s early path was shaped by the Soto Zen and yogic spiritual traditions. Her training and career as a professional dancer and choreographer continue to inform her about the experience and relevance of embodiment. Wynn is in the 2025 - 2028 Spirit Rock/Insight Meditation Society Teacher Training Program.
