RETREAT DESCRIPTION

If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change. –Buddha–

The Vipassana (Insight Meditation) practice invites us to see deeply into the miracle of our own mind and body process. As a result, our life begins to change in ways that guide our responses to ourselves and others. The four Brahma Viharas are the responses of the awakening heart; they are lovingkindness, compassion, appreciative-joy and equanimity. These practices function as guardians of the heart and antidotes for every form of suffering. When cultivated, our whole life begins to flower with wise understanding, compassion, forgiveness and love.

This retreat will be held in Noble Silence. The daily schedule will include morning teachings, guided meditations, sitting and walking meditation, individual practice meetings, an optional afternoon discussion group and evening dharma talk. As well there will be times to rest and spend time in nature.

Registration is limited to guarantee each participant a single room.

This retreat is appropriate for both new and experienced students.
