RETREAT DESCRIPTION

The Five Spiritual Faculties – faith, energy, mindfulness, collectedness and wisdom – are innate qualities with the potential to lead the mind to awakening. When developed in a balanced way, these five faculties support deeper understanding of what it means to be human on this planet, enabling us to live a skillful life while practicing for awakening.

In these times shaped by polarization and breakdown, we invite you to return to what is true, deep and universal: relationship, listening, belonging. A return to the understanding that guidance is available when we are in right relationship with life. What is needed now is not more human supremacy and control, but a deeper alignment with the Dharma aka laws of nature.

We invite you to join us for this journey of inner exploration and discovery, bringing greater presence and brightness to our engagement with life, death and transformation.

In this silent retreat we will co-create a safe container that supports a humble curiosity informing wise and compassionate responses in these transition times. Practices offered will include Dharma reflections, guided meditations, chanting, Q&A, group & individual discussions and occasional prompts for contemplation. You are invited to bring a capacity for embodied awareness in meditation and an open heart-mind for seeing your life and the world through new eyes.

Partial attendance is not offered on this retreat. Additionally, please consider attending this retreat only if your current life circumstances allow you to engage in an important modern renunciation practice of staying offline and off phone/text during the entire course of the retreat (some exceptions related to pressing family situations may be granted.)
