RETREAT DESCRIPTION

During this five-day retreat, we will gather together to cultivate a deep awareness of ourselves through practicing a steady and compassionate attention. Insight meditation invites us to disengage from our usual enmeshment with thinking and discover an intimacy with life as it unfolds within and around us. Drawing on the supports of community (sangha), the vibrant stillness and beauty of the forest, and a lineage of wisdom and kindness, we nourish our potential for awakening, for freedom here and now. We will practice sitting, walking, and loving-kindness meditations as well as explore a natural awareness that can be increasingly present throughout all of our activities.

Keri and Tim will offer evening talks, meditation instructions, chi gong and small group meetings during the retreat to support your practice. This silent retreat is suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators.

Partial attendance is not offered on this retreat. Additionally, please consider attending this retreat only if your current life circumstances allow you to engage in an important modern renunciation practice of staying offline and off phone/text during the entire course of the retreat (some exceptions related to pressing family situations may be granted.)
