RETREAT DESCRIPTION

In this retreat we’ll explore a gentle, intuitive way of working with body and mind through embodiment, settling, and curiosity. As skill and sensitivity develop, experience grows quieter and, within that quiet, more luminous and clear. This shining isn’t something we manufacture, it’s what reveals itself as we settle. Held in that same tranquility, such clarity leaves us less brittle and more open, more able to meet change, and to live with steadiness rather than fear and reactivity.

As this way of being deepens, it brings simplicity, intuition, and friendliness. It isn’t confined to the cushion. It can become how we meet all of life.

Because it’s principle-based rather than technique-bound, this method suits practitioners at any stage, from beginners to those of many years. Here, tranquility and shining are not two things but one, wisdom approached not through more thinking, but through a direct, wordless, intuitive knowing.

This retreat will be held in noble silence and will include:
• The 7-point posture (sitting and standing), with post-meditation self-massage
• Cultivating and balancing tranquility and clear knowing
• Practice methods that harmonize with nature
• Meeting emptiness through welcoming rather than grasping
• Liberating wisdom, how it arises and how it frees
• Gentle entries into expansive, effortless awareness
• Qigong and healthy movement

Partial attendance is not offered on this retreat. Additionally, please consider attending this retreat only if your current life circumstances allow you to engage in an important modern renunciation practice of staying offline and off phone/text during the entire course of the retreat (some exceptions related to pressing family situations may be granted.)
