RETREAT DESCRIPTION
This retreat explores Dhamma practice, not just as meditation, but as restorative, healing lifestyle and a path of integration, awakening, and wholeness. We will offer meditation and movement practices that have served us and our students well, along with Dhamma perspectives drawn from both the Elder and Great Vehicles. We will focus on illuminating and growing sensitive to the natural rhythms of life and practice.
We explore unentangled being, learning to let it guide life. As the exploration deepens, simplicity, friendliness, clarity, and intuition are revealed. This is not just an experience on the cushion, it becomes a way of operating all throughout our lives.
We invite yogis to try out and experiment with these practices and perspectives, ultimately towards finding a good fit with your own needs, capacities, and life.
This retreat will be held in noble silence and will include:
• Learning about meditation posture and post-meditation self-massage
• Guidance on how to cultivate and balance tranquility and clear knowing
• Natural entries into expansive, effortless awareness
• Guidance on developing liberating wisdom and how it frees
• A simple system for turning life itself into transformative practice
• Daily heart practices, such as forgiveness
• Qi-gong and other movement practices
Partial attendance is not offered on this retreat. Additionally, please consider attending this retreat only if your current life circumstances allow you to engage in an important modern renunciation practice of staying offline and off phone/text during the entire course of the retreat (some exceptions related to pressing family situations may be granted.)
